I think most of the customers who havn't been ripped off are the ones that picked up the phone and said NO!! If one customer doesn't get charged for the upgrade then the same should apply to all customers.

Agreed but ntl for a long while have been providing different level's of service to different customers. Doesnt seem to bother them.
