He took my mac address and told me my modem is capable of the new speeds!! It appears not! Can any one recommend a faster modem I can use which will handle the new 10mb speeds?
Cheers all.
I was told (by executive response team person) that they will be trying a firmware upgrade for the 3100 but they couldnt predict when. He has invited me to call again in about a week to let him know whats happened.
He also suggested that rebooting the modem every couple of days which i am doing.
Dont buy a new modem because if they find the 3100 wont manage the full speed then they will replace.
We just have to be patient for a bit longer.
