This is what I got:

1st 512K took 641 ms = 817922 KB/sec, approx 6646 Kbps, 6.49 Mbps
2nd 512K took 640 ms = 819200 KB/sec, approx 6656 Kbps, 6.5 Mbps
3rd 512K took 641 ms = 817922 KB/sec, approx 6646 Kbps, 6.49 Mbps
4th 512K took 688 ms = 762047 KB/sec, approx 6192 Kbps, 6.05 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 6535 Kbps, 6.38 Mbps

I have a Ambit 100 modem and assume thatÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¢ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ Â¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚Â¢s why my performance is not better. I do hope NTL can do a firmware tweak - from a resource point of view it seems an enormous waste of money to have to replace modems that can, quite frankly reach very good speeds, but not enough to match the advertised maximum. In reality I would be quite happy with the current speed - but human nature dictates I will be asking for a replacement in due course!
