Whats the difference from a Warm restart of the modem (using the configuration screen) and a Cold restart (unplugging the modem power) and does anyone have any technical info about these cable modems and how they work?

Once i get started with things i need to know it all!

EDIT: or any information on the even log and error messages? guess i am asking for an engineers handbook or something
