Hi,

I installed a NIC last night (i've been using USB connection to my modem) in readiness for the higher speeds that are on the way

It's up and running fine, but i was wondering about the Duplex settings. It's a basic 10/100 D-Link Network card going to the NTL: Home 100 modem. I'm on the 1meg connection (despite being told they had bumped me up to 10Meg, when i asked for it on Saturday).

At the moment both the modem and card are set to auto-detection, as this was the defualt. Would it be beneficial to change these settings? I think i read on an NTL help page to set both to 10 half duplex?? but not really sure why?

Any advice appreciated.
