There is no need to touch the install CD if you use the ethernet connection.
The only thing you need to do on the PC is point it's default gateway IP address to the router (if you're not using DHCP internally) and define the NTL DNS servers.
The router should supply these details along with DHCP, but don't quote me on that as I've always set mine up manually.
