Thanks for that, I didn't know this strategy could have consequences for other users. I will definitely contact NTL for this. As for the other suggestion, re-plastering etc is likely to take 6 months and would leave me without broadband as well as tv. I'm sure most people would find that a bit of a sacrifice!
