There is a limit to the number of PCs you can have registered for your NTL STB connection. Not sure if it is three or five, but if the former you don't have much leeway.

Kill off any of the registrations for the Ps that don't work. The replacement STBs will have been enough to corrupt those anyway.

Once the old names are removed, switch off (no power) the STB, connect up the PC you need to register via ehternet, disconnecting any others you have), reboot all, and that should then enbale you to register.

If you have more than one PC regularly used, I'd get a router. Lot less hassle.
