Re: *ALL* ntl Cap Discussion (Part 3)
Fact : sky charge ntl for channels and ntl price the packages based on this so when sky put up the prices ntl do (although ntl absorb the first few months increase each time)
yeah I admit I'm wrong on that sorry, but it is something that makes skys TV package that bit more attractive to football fans.also it costs less than ntls does now since their price increases.
Fact : Ntl wont give 2 hoots if the people downing 200+ GB each month go elsewhere.
Fact : so why have I a mate on another forum whos now left ntl thats got a taped and file dated phone call from a Ntl sales member pleading for him to give NTL time to sort unlimited packages out before he takes his whole £100+ pm tv,phone and net package elsewhere even though he blew massive hole in that cap far more than 200gbs per month and why are your call centers so hard to get intouch with to actually close your accounts, ive read a good few guys here having problems ?
like I said untill you give people what they want they will leave and potential new joining users will likely go elsewhere.I think the end of the football season will prove a watermark in seeing if people are happy paying more for a capped service than what other isp's have uncapped.
I'm honestly not bitching at you guys who work and rightly back up ntl (ive liked their packages in the past but feel slightly overcharged getting 512k for £18) and in fairness on the cap debate it looks like a fair few of my US buddies are fighting cap battles too mostly in areas where isps have monopolys.Surely though with streaming becoming more popular and bbc's online tv content around the corner and even ntls own online pay per use media content, the most saintly of users are going to need the capacity as well as speeds.I so hope NTL take word and value members like myself whove been a £90 pm customer for 5 years.Ive mostly had good times with them other than the last few months of going back and forth.
