OK, this is gonna be a long one.......
I followed the steps listed, shut my machine down, reset my STB and then the STB displayed three green lights and 88:88!
I rang customer services who said that the box would need replacing and they would send an engineer. He came, and ended up trying 3 different boxes, none of which worked properly. They were all dropping out channels. However, the third box had its interactive light illuminated, and i managed to get the internet on the PC i had built (XP 64 machine). However, now when i plug the ethernet cable back into my old PC (XP 32) that had worked previously, register the MAC address and reboot, it will not recognise the PC. It lists two PC names I have set up on the start.ntl screen, but keeps recognising this PC as a new PC.
The engineer said that he thought the problem was the Pace box (which are all refurbs). He said he had been having problems with all the stock he had in his van. He said that we should hold out for a new samsung box. So two more engineers have called, and i am holding out for the new box.
So,
1)Do you think the box is the problem?
2)Should I hold out for a new Samsung box?
3)Is the modem in the Samsung box better, particularly if i upgrade my BB?
Hope people understand this! Many questions........ Cheers, Andrew
