Re: ntl Confirms 10Mb Broadband Speed Increase

I don't see why you shouldn't pay more for the more you download. You don't have a phone and not get billed for what you have used (or you do if you pay a premium for an unlimite package)
You dont expect to use petrol in your car and drive hundreds of miles and expect a one off payment for unlimited fuel.
Why should it be different for the internet?
These people who are saying they expect to be reimbursed for their 3 Mb connection if they don't get upgraded by 31st December as well....
Why should you get a refund? You have used the 3Mb connection have you not? Hello - you dont' get refunds for things you have used if there is nothing wrong with them!!!

I don't have the relevant release to hand but i am pretty sure they said it would be before the end of the year although not giving an exact date.

I am perfectly happy to wait till December 31st, but i would be pretty miffed if it wasn't there on that date. I never complain to NTL and probably haven't had to because i have had a first class service from them. But i would have wasted just £1 short of £40 on upgrading for no reason which i would look to be reimbursed for (assuming the NTL Release actually said before the end of 2005 and it wasn't my misreading). Please correct me if the wording didn't actually say before the end of 05.

Still i am 99% sure it will be in November/December so it's a fait mute point.
