No, noooo. Please listen or watch some of Hick's performances. He was more than simply offensive. There was a savage truth and intelligence to much of what he was saying, which revealed many of the world's contradictions, and incidentally still resonate today. In the words of John Cleese he was, "savage, brilliant, funny, tremendously intelligent", and for me sadly missed

. To fully appreciate, his work needs to be viewed in the context of his performance.
EDIT: But of course, like everything he was not to everyones taste.
