Having said that, you're probably right

IMO, a lot of people give up smoking because of peer pressure - I started when I was at college, but it was mostly because everyone else smoked. Unfortunately, I then found that it's rather a hard habit to break (see, I obviously should have listened to more Chicago when I was a kid ).

As for the actual 'ban', I have to admit that I don't see why a total ban should be necessary - as has been said quite a few times, it should, in my opinion, be down to the landlord of the pub / club / whatever.
