Trials month
doesn't really count as 'speed update' month. Products are certainly not going to be commercially available this month, so his guesses based on the grapevine don't work this time
Considering ntl themselves didn't know until recently the dates for trialling and releasing bloke in pub must have had a few when he gave out dates for things that were still on the drawing board
