I think as far as position 1 it is. The rest is up for grabs (places 2-7 are only 3 points apart), but as United fans well know, first is everything and second (or third
) is nowhere. That's why they're so annoyed.
'Wigan are better than everyone expected' is a fair enough statement, as is 'Man Utd are keeping up their dismal Premiership form of the last two seasons' and 'The only two sides with 100% home records are Chelsea and Arsenal'.*
* 'And 'Arsenal have the best home form and worst away form in the Premiership', if we're being scrupulously accurate. And 'It's Arsenal's worst start to the Premiership in 11 years yet we're still only 2 points behind Man Utd'.
Oh, and Charlton came from behind to beat Pompey 2-1 so they're up to second. It's musical chairs, and Mourinho's conducting the damn orchestra.
