Everyone who drinks tea, normally wants a cup as soon as they come in. This is the next logical extension to satistify that need.
One of the main reasons for switching from IPv4 to IPv6, was because people invisioned every household appliance being connected to the Internet, like your washer/dryer/cooker, etc.
