I've just upgraded my computer to a Dell OS WINXP SP2, I've connected my telewest cable modem and have internet connection through the browser (IE).

However I can't seem to get my Outlook or Outlook Express to connect to my email account. The username and passwords are correct as I have tested the account on a differnet computer and internet connection. I've tried to ping sites through the CMD, however I don't get any response.

I've turned off the Norton as I was told that sometimes can cause issues. If anybody has any ideas what the issue might be or some tips on how I can identify what the problem is I would be grateful.
