This isn't about choosing not to pay as such. It's about protesting about the ridiculous increases some councils have put on the tax.
She has paid her council tax, except the £53 pound increase.
In many cases the councils have increased the tax well above the general rate of inflation hence hitting pockets harder.
It was not so long ago
my council tax was
half what it is now. I can assure you that my income has
not doubled in that time!
