Other ISP's are all very well but then you don't get the †œBloke in the Pubââ‚ ¬Ãƒâ€šÃ‚ service with anyone else except ntl.
And as for †œunlimitedà¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚à Â, some hosting companies have been advertising this for years, only for people to find themselves booted off when their bandwidth has exceeded just a nominal amount.
Just remember that †œunlimitedà¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚à  is just to suck people in, once they are on-board heavy download/uploaders tend to get booted off by every residential type of ISP/Hosting company, sooner rather than later.
What has become apparent recently is that ntl have been turning a blind eye to really heavy usage in the past, even though the people doing it knew that they were taking the pee pee. It's not as if ntl has jumped on people who went over a few gigs a month, by all accounts people who have been downloading 3 or even 4 times the †œallowanceà¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚à  have not been given the word.
It appears to me that ntl are more tolerant than many people give them credit for.
