Rps.exe was the file I was thinking of but I can't find much documented proof to be totally sure that it's the right file.
Doubt if it will cause any harm if you try it though. Try looking in your services list in the admin tools if running XP, it might tell you there what it is. Or start a manual scan and check task manager to see what is active and hammering your CPU
