Laptop Power Adaptor

For the last few days my laptop has failed to charge until I've played around with the leads and eventually made a connection. I've now tracked it down to a dodgy wire connnection between the power supply and lead tha then goes into the laptop. There is no obvious way of getting the case of the adaptor open - moulded case, so can't cut and shorten the lead where it is broken.

The laptop is a Pico 7321 Hurricane (somethign quite obscure) with a Liteon 19V 3.16A output. The laptop is about to fall apart (case and lid badly cracked), so don't want to spend a lot of money.

Anyone got any ideas?
