Actually it sounds like he's trying to connect the AirPort to the PC's ethernet using Windows' internet connection sharing.

To the OP. If it helps, I have a USB wireless adapter (802.11b) at home that I'm no longer using. I can send you that if you like. That way you can connect the AirPort directly to your cable modem and let both computers connect wirelessly. This would also mean that you wouldn't have to have the PC permanently on in order to use the Mac on the internet.
