Hi, hope someone can help.
Iâ₠¬ÃƒÆ’¢â€žÂ¢ve a Blueyonder 1MB internet account with the wireless package which I use with a desktop pc. This worked fine until I tried to use my girlfriendââ ¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s Powerbook on the network to access the internet. Having discovered from Telewest that this was not possible with the Netgear router supplied (by them) as part of my wireless package (this will only support one PC device at a time) I went out and bought a new Netgear router and PCI card.



As with the old router I plugged this in to the set top box and set up the network (with some help from a knowledgeable friend). Everything worked fine initially on both the PC and Powerbook and the wireless network continues to work fine however I keep losing the internet connection. This can be restored for a short period by turning the power off the router and back on again. At first (yesterday) I had internet access all day but now it doesnââ‚ƚ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t appear to last any more than 15 mins or so.



Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? Iâ₠¬ÃƒÆ’¢â€žÂ¢m presuming that the Ethernet output from the set top box is simply a connection to a modem inside? Is this expecting the original netgear router?
