NTL remotes come in many shapes, but only talk one of two languages. The blue remotes talk one language, and the black/dark grey remotes another.

As to which remote operates which boxes, it works like this:

Langley

Blue remotes operate all boxes


Bromley

Black remotes operate all boxes except Samsung
Blue remotes operate Samsung and Pace 4000 (but no other Pace boxes)
