Yes but asdl2+ is not as much distance baced.
8mb will be distance based, so not everyone will get 8mb, but when adsl2+ comes out (18mb, 24mb) It wont really be distance based, it will just depend on whether the exchange is equipped.
This will also prepare for vdsl.
