Wiring ethernet sockets

Hello,

I have a wired network and have cabled my rooms with wires under the floor boards. The cable is ethernet and all I have to do is plug the connector into the backs of the computers in each room.

Now instead of wire in each room, I'd like to put on a socket on to the wall.
Am I right in saying that I will need these two things:

Is this the right tool ?

And then just a socket:

Mine would be single socket though.
However, could I use a double one for more than one connection. I'm guessing not?

Does anyone have experience cutting up the Cat5 ethernet cables. And is it pretty straight forward ? I've done phone extensions before so Im guessing they are all colour coded ?

Thanks.
