Problem with Nokia 3220 USB Data Cable

Hey all,

Yesterday I bought a Nokia data cable for my 3220. It didn't come with a software CD, so I have downloaded and installed Nokia PC Suite and the driver for the DKU-2 data cable, both from the Nokia website.

I made sure that I uninstalled any previous Nokia drivers, and that I rebooted the PC before and after installation, and before connecting the cable or the phone.

However, despite all this, when I do connect the phone, I get a message telling me that the USB device has malfuctioned, and that the device is not recognised, with no driver having been installed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver with no success.

Is there a particular method to get this to work, or particular place where I should be installing the driver for it to be recognised? Or can anyone suggest alternative software which they've had success with?

Many thanks in advance,
Browneggsandham
