If it can't give you per-interface statistics it blows goats and we need a better solution.
PRTG isn't just limited to cable modems, of course, anything that has an SNMP agent that can give you per-interface statistics is pollable - hence using it on routers (or Linux gateway boxes, or even Windows boxes, with an enabled SNMP agent).
