I'm getting faster intermitent speed increases too here in E.London

I looked on the other thread about the new Armbit firmware and so decided to reset the cable modem. Got the firmware with the ntl logo on. Since then I've been getting HUGE spike increases when downloading from Usenet.

I have a 3MB connection and when downloading from Usenet, I won't say what

, the speed regularly "spikes" much higher than the usual 300kbs speed I normally get. Dozends of times in the last hour my speed has spiked, for a few seconds only, up to speeds ranging from 500kbs to about 850kbs. Although each spike is only brief it keeps happening and going up to these higher speeds.

I don't know what's going on, but I ain't complaining.... Getting my downloads about 10-15% quicker now.
