Keyboard 'performance'?
Well there isn't much to any, you just want to find one with a nice touch feel then you are off.
Your mousing surface should come second in importance to your mouse, I've got an everglide gigantica. Its great, but to be the best (best to me) I have to Mr. Sheen it up' (that was a trade secret
).
Its worth looking into a good mat and teflon strips/mouse feet for the bottom of your mouse, some good mats being the func 1030, steelpad, icemat, some of the everglide models.
