DITV- 2000 and yeah, dusted all the IR prots etc.

If the box isn't responding to any of 6 remotes, then there's a fair chance it's knackered. Give NTL a ring and explain the situation, and with any luck they'll send someone round to change it for you

can't be bothered if the guys at cable forum can help me without me having to go through too much trouble, plus the guy that came around last time was an idiot and didn't seem like he was clued up!... but i will if i can't solve the mystery.
