Thanks - spoke to Iiyama today - wern't forthcoming with anything new I hadn't tried - they are going to replace it when new units in stock. But I'm sure it's a set up problem due to the way it occured (a momentary unplugging of power) and the absolutely normal colours and display during the brief Auto set up routine. It's usable despite poor colours but I'll keep in touch on this.
