Realistically, in real war if you poke your head above the parapet, someone was likely to disconnect it. COD is quite tactical, stealth can work in many of the game types, rather than the headless chicken mode that I seem to adopt. It's one to persevere with.

Remember that if you are visiting servers, there is a good probablility that some of the players have voice communication (teamspeak or similar), especially if there is a clan present. That gives them an edge as any sightings of movement are reported to others.
