Fair doos, thanks anyway. It's just on BitTorrent (downloading legal stuff of course) that any uploads higher than 5kb/s completely ruins my down speed and I can't access any websites. Bummer.

its as slow as the weakest link if you have given to much then it will be slow
a friend put his as t3 and he regretted it
also restrict the amount of uploads
