I'm welcoming the 10mps with open arms as it's significantly faster than my current ntl 3mbs. But am *really* looking forward to some nice upload increase as well. Mainly cos I play online games, at the moment it's BF2. And I usually host a Skype session between mates to chat during the game (we dont like the ingame voip and prefer the easy of skype).
However, hosting a 4+ conference on Skype simply kills the current upload bandwidth while playing BF2. So, according to the BBc link, if NTL is doing this in response to the increased demand for high capacity online multimedia usage, (listed was voip) I assume they have taken into account the need for higher upload speed and not just killer downloads...
