This is a similar way to how I used to have my system set up (until I added a Tivo Digital Video Recorder, which meant re-wiring).

Put simply, you connect the DVD player to a scart socket on it's own.

You then attach the Video to the VCR socket on the Pace STB, and the other scart socket on the Pace STB (usually labelled TV or RGB) to the free scart socket on the TV.
