I'm not a fan of Homicide at all, I watch the occasional episode but it never really grabs me like NYPD Blue does, I find it to be slow and rather boring. Law & Order is okay, I started to watch it more during the series that starred Angie Harmon

but again, it's nothing special, better than Homicide though. IMO, NYPD Blue was consistently good. I can remember when David Caruso left and I was like "it's gonna be rubbish without him" but Jimmy Smits was just as brilliant. Then when he left I felt the same but Ricky Shroeder was good as well, it took a while to like him but he grew on me and the writing & acting from the other cast members was still top notch. Even when Shroeder was killed off, it was still a really good show till it ended, primarily because of Dennis Franz.
