I'm having NTL BB 1meg installed on Friday and already have a Belkin wirless router setup on my PC....main PC is hard wired via ethernet cable and I also us it via wireless to connect a laptop....the Belkin unit has a WAN connection which I know my CM/STB will plug into....what I need to know is when I run the NTL BB setup CD should I do this with the router connected or disconnect the router and plug in the CM/STB directly into the PC ethernet card?
Have been reading up on varoius forums and keep seeing this 'MAC number' registration thingy mentioned???.....I know the router I have can clone the MAC address...but am still a bit confused by it all...the router came with an 'Easy Setup' CD which I didn't use because I wasn't connecting it to the internet at the time...should I run this now???
