Re: Just got this e-mail

There are known spoofers of paypal accounts (even ones that appear seemingly genuine). Only last week I had one asking me to confirm my paypal account details... and interestingly enough asking for my email account password (do I have "stupid" written on my forehead?).

PayPal are aware of the problem and working real hard to minimise this kind of issue. If you check their website they have details on what to do (incl sending the email to the spoof section - details as per John's post). Also, they duplicate every email they send to you into your message account which you can collect by logging in... so if it's not been sent there then it's not genuine. They'll probably tell you all this when they reply to your "spoof report" as I had a detailed response only last week when I reported my issue to them.
