What's new?
Quote:
Changes between Beta1 (June 28th) and Beta2 (July 14th)

Bug fixes
- crash on ATI Radeon 7000-series cards when editing lines/polygons
- in rare cases, fullscreen/F11 would do nothing
- Layer icons would fail to draw when offline (Plus/Pro only)
- running on restricted XP accounts with 8bit (eg: accent characters) usernames would fail
- changing icons in a folder of placemarks via "share styles" would appear to work, but then revert when saved to a file.
- network link now fetches kmz files correctly, as long as server sets mime type correctly
- editing icon of a folder would sometimes crash
- using IMG SRC inside a description did not work with GIF files
- installing Pro on a machine using administrator and then running on a restricted account would sometimes hide the version number as PR3.0.XXXX
- embedded web browser would sometimes crash on Windows 2000
- uninstall shortcut didn't work on Windows 2000
- Matrox graphics cards (G400/G500) had problems with OpenGL, but weren't
allowed to run in DirectX. DirectX is now recommended and they work much better.
- some very rare crashes while flying
- exiting while a long search was in progress would crash
- using a GIF as an icon would fail
- several movie maker bugs have been fixed

Cosmetic Changes
- improved default_myplaces.kml file with Seer's 18 placemarks
- "Email Placemark" instead of "Email KMZ"
- ctrl-Z as an accelerator for click-n-zoom mode was confusing to too many people (who were trying to undo). Removed it.
- added method to clear search history (in the Edit menu)
- changed wording in Start Menu

Remaining recently discovered problems
- GPS devices: Garmin USB support seems flaky. COM->USB support
depends on quality of adaptor
- at high latitudes, not enough labels for North/South running streets
are drawn
- icons at altitude do not get exaggerated by elevation exaggeration,
sometimes disappear underground.
