i will keep the 4.1 suite installed for a day or 2 to see what i can do with it, but i think it would be faster for you to follow zinglebarb's advice and look up the monophonic ringtone your phone, i know there are mono ringtones of TT out there now.
also, in researching your 3390/3391 phone, i found that ringtones are normally added through text messaging rather than direct download(if you have the web accessable on your phone). other than that, the only ways i have found to get ringtones for your series phone is with one of the 4 PC adapters... serial port, infared, usb or pcmia adapter alongside the nokia pc suite 4.1(free download from nokia)

Does that also mean that any of my friends can send me ringtones for my mobile phone as well? I read in the owner's manual that they could do that.
