I use a HP 2210 (IPAQ) and can recommend them, personally I'd opt for a plug in device for GPS (SD/CF/Bluetooth/Cable Connection) or a device that you can switch off when not being used. You will pay a premium for a GPS enabled device so ask yourself would you use it or is it a gadget that would be cool for a couple of days/weeks.

Make sure you can get a SD or CF card in to expand on the internal memory (and take backups!)

Wireless devices are pretty good if you have a wireless router at home/work - I have a 63xx !! HP that I have borrowed cos I am going racing and will have a wireless system for lap times etc.
