I don't think the RAM is the problem, on most motherboards when the fault lies with the ram or the vga then it will usually give off the beep codes, from what I have read it isn't doing this, unless we aren't being told the whole truth

My suggestion is to disconnect everything apart from the power and then put one bit in power on and see what happens. This is the order in which I suggest you do things:

1. Nothing apart from power to fans.
2. Insert CPU & fan and power on.
3. Insert RAM.
4. Insert VGA.
5. Start connecting drives.

Hopefully at some stage something might start working or you start hearing the error beeps. If sweet FA happens then it points towards being the motherboard or the CPU. If it looks like it's the motherboard try checking the bios battery as I know they can cause similar problems.

Also, if you can, try checking the CPU, RAM, VGA on another machine.
