but I would hazard a guess that you would be unlikely to get anyone from NTL to visit your home to look through your settings as it's not their job unfortunately. (Unless a friendly tech lives near you lol.)
It could just be that something has corrupted on your PC or it might even be down to an errant firewall setting somewhere. Personally I would suggest starting a new thread if the fix is unsuccessful and we can look at things more thoroughly for you
