Acroplois, Ok, I'm at slightly crossed purposes here, didn't realise an old thread had been resurrected. By coincidence I'd just been posting in another aerial connectivity thread.
You are correct, the Y splitter is not essential in the location I originally posted in #2 above. You can daisy chain. For some reason I must have been confused with my own home system where I do need a splitter as I have two separate TVs, one up, one downstairs. Please see this post:
