Sorry OB, but I have to agree with Chris on this one - it's not about the way the family should react, but about the way
we should react. And I see that some CF members (including me, I have to confess) are quicker to air their opinions than Roberto on BB .....
On the broader issue of anonymity in rape cases, as ever there's no right answer, just answers that aren't as wrong or as badly wrong in as many cases, if you see what I mean.
Anonymity for alleged perpertrator: good if you're falsely accused and aquitted, bad if you did the crime but get off with it and as a result other victims don't get to add their evidence.
Anonymity for alleged victim: good if you really were the victim and can't face being a victim again, bad if you're making it up and other people you've 'accused' can't add their evidence.
Now, very few accusations of rape are false, so you might think that 'no' and 'yes' respectively are the answers, but the problem with that is that the bads for 'no' and 'yes' are so extremely bad to make it less easy to decide.
I've just reread my last 3 paragraphs and they're crap aren't they?

- I've had a hard day at work - can anyone translate into English?
