I think this was a massive over-reaction by the school over a pair of trainers - and TBH - I cannot understand why they insist that you wear "uniform" for exams anyway - no school any of my family have attended required this. You need only turn up for the exams, and wear you normal casual clothes.

Agreed. Of course Kevin Keegan thinks that sometimes footballers brains are in their boots in which case appropriate footwear is in fact necessary!
