Did you contact them to get it sorted? Believe me Sky is no better for crappy signals sometimes
We quite often suffer signal drops/ stutters etc. If you contact NTL you will stand little chance of getting the issue resolved, sometimes it's not even NTL's fault but the signal provider who is causing the problem.
