i was talking about the take over with my dad the other day.. once we became a PLC then anyone could buy our shares and if they bought enough they could own the company.. he was saying the Government should step in but what can they do.. say we don't like this Glazer guy we're going to spend 1 Billion buying Man U instead then have a government own the club.. don't think that would get through parliament so can't really see any way this could have been prevented.. as soon as we became a PLC someone was guying to buy us..

a few years ago 2 of Fergie's mates bought loads of shares and everyone said they were going to take over and pump loads of moneyinto the club.. no one complained then until Fergie fell out with them and they decided to use the club for profit
