Never seen that speed test before, but it suggests the disk is running at ATA100 speeds! Is it sharing an IDE channel with with a CD/DVD/Tape? Given that SATA runs on a dedicated channel at upto 150Mb/s I would say SATA should see be a big improvement in startup times, esp a Raid 0 pair.
